Meet The Doctor

Dr. Frank J. Palmaccio is a native Long Islander; born in Brooklyn and raised in Queens and Nassau County. He attended C.W. Post College, Long Island University where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology followed by his Master of Science degree in Cellular Biology. He subsequently attended Columbia University, College of Dental Medicine and was awarded his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree. He completed a General Practice Residency Program at New York Hospital, Queens Center, formerly referred to as Booth Memorial Medical Center. Dr. Palmaccio completed his advanced specialty training in Periodontics and Implant Dentistry at Temple University, School of Dentistry. The field of Periodontics and Implant Dentistry is constantly changing with new techniques; procedures and information coming to light at an ever rapid pace. Dr. Palmaccio feels it is imperative to continually expand his knowledge base and clinical skills through continuing education courses. He strives to provide patients with the most comprehensive and professional care he can possibly offer.

Dr. Palmaccio is very active in organized dentistry recently being elected to his first two-year term as one of the Nassau County Dental Society's three Governors of the New York State Dental Association which represents more than 13,000 dentists in New York. He is the current president of the Long Island Academy of Periodontics and a past-president of the Nassau County Dental Society. He serves on the Nassau County Dental Society's Board of Directors as well as its Executive Board. He is a director of the Greater Long Island Dental Meeting (GLIDM), serves on the New York State Dental Association's Council on Insurance, chairs the Nassau County Dental Society's Insurance Committee and is vice-chair of the Society's Professional Liability Committee. Dr. Palmaccio is the immediate past-chair of the Nassau Academy of Dentistry and currently serves on its Executive Board. He is a member of the Nassau County Dental Society's Budget, Finance & Audit Committee, the Continuing Education Committee and the Relief Committee. Additionally, he represents the New York State Dental Association nationally as a Delegate and Alternate Delegate to the American Dental Association House of Delegates.
He has been very involved in developing and implementing the Society's Give Kids A Smile program and devotes numerous hours to dental, charitable and civic activities.
